Hollywoodbets Vasco chose Kensington Home for the Aged as their organisation of choice for Hollywoodbets’ Social Responsibility Programme for 2016/2017. Keep reading to learn more about this donation.
The home first opened to the public in 1972 because there was a need for an old age home in the Kensington and Factreton communities. They strive to care for those from previously disadvantaged backgrounds who are physically challenged and frail.
KOAH cares for the elderly on a physical and emotional level. At the time of writing they provided care to 97 residents.
The Hollywoodbets Vasco team supported their good work by donating R10 000 in cash to the organisation. KOAH Chairman Father Charles Blows expressed his thanks for the support.
“The assistance given to us by Hollywoodbets has been too valuable, and words cannot express how every donation from your team has helped us. This cash donation of R10 000 came at the right time because it will assist us with our CCTV cameras,” he said.
