Carmen, Elliot, Rigo, Thandiwe, Babalwa and Antoria went to the foundation to hand over items needed for skills development in the community.
We donated cameras, stands, microwave, software and sewing machines. We noticed that they still using one of our previous donations the projector and DVD player. Justin the one in charge of the projects for skills development, informed us that he uses it on a daily basis for instruction in the lessons offered to the youth there.
They take people in and train them from the age of 18 to 35. This is helping get people out of doing crime in PE.
We all sat there as he went through all the skills they offer the community like computer skills and how to fix a PC. He told us about a few of the people that have just finished courses there, one is going to work in Johannesburg for FNB, and three others have jobs on the new development where they building homes.
Justin does the photography side mostly and was very grateful for all the items, as he said he was not expecting so many items. I think they are doing a great service for the community there.
